Sausage Spaghetti

  • 1 lb. Polk's Garlic & Green Onion Sausage
  • 1 can tomato sauce, 29 oz
  • 1 can tomato paste, 6 oz
  • 2 tomatoes, diced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon oregano
  • 1 tablespoon basil
  • 1 package spaghetti noodles
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese


Cut Polk's Garlic & Green Onion Sausage into ½ inch slices. Heat olive oil in large skillet and combine sausage with the chopped bell pepper, onion and minced garlic. Cook for 10-15 minutes or until sausage is browned. If needed, drain excess grease. Stir tomato sauce, diced tomatoes and tomato paste into sausage mixture. Season with oregano, basil, and salt to taste. Cook for 30 to 45 minutes. Bring a pot of water to boil and add spaghetti noodles. Cook spaghetti in the boiling water, stirring occasionally until cooked through. Once complete, drain and pour into a serving bowl. Top with sausage tomato sauce. Sprinkle parmesan cheese as desired and enjoy.
